About Us

INTRODUCTION

The Rroma Center for Public Policies “Aven Amentza” is a cultural foundation for the Rroma’s emancipation in Romania and in the world.

MISSION

Institutional building and development of the Rroma communities, by designing public policies for ethnic identity assertion and multicultural/intercultural education and by preventing and combating all forms of racial discrimination against Rroma.

AIMS
sectional approach, by equal partnership and Rroma participation, to the Rroma options and priorities, including, financing and multiplying them into the public policies and state programs’ circuit, at central/regional/local level, taking into account the community specific patterns, aiming to rebuild the social solidarity and public space harmony at European standards;
initiating formative-normative Rroma specific alternatives, by the synthesis between the identity marks and the modern values, by establishing communication and cooperation bridges with the local authorities, in order to open new occupational opportunities and to develop qualified human resources, including by adapting the Rroma crafts to the modern market and by developing an exchange circuit, in the framework of permanent education in community information centers (assistance, consulting, advocacy).
